Protect City Zone

Animal Deterrence Technology for Urban Areas.

Triple-Action Deterrence for Comprehensive Protection

Protect City Zone is a patented system engineered to safeguard buildings and monuments from damage caused by urban animals, combining state-of-the-art technology with a modular and adaptable design.

This system protects the surfaces of buildings, monuments, and other urban structures from animals such as birds, dogs, cats, and rats, ensuring the preservation of both the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of these important spaces.

Its unique modular design features a triple-action deterrent: low-intensity electric pulses that deter animals without causing harm, sound frequencies that are uncomfortable for animals, and the release of repellent odors. This combination provides an effective, humane, and non-invasive solution, perfectly suited to the needs of modern urban environments.

Technology

The modular protection system integrates three complementary deterrent technologies: low-intensity electric pulses, sound frequencies that are uncomfortable for animals but inaudible to humans, and the dispersion of repellent odors. Together, these three elements create a multisensory barrier that effectively keeps animals away.

Solar-Powered Control Module

Protect City Zone features a control module with a built-in solar panel and internal batteries. This unit oversees all components, eliminating the need for external power sources. The rechargeable battery stores solar energy, allowing the system to operate continuously, even at night or in low-light conditions. Its design makes it ideal for easy installation on public monuments, rooftops, and ledges without the need for electrical wiring.

The system’s integrated electronics manage the staggered activation of the three deterrent methods, ensuring that animals are effectively repelled by the combined effects of sound, odors, and the electric deterrent.

Modular Laminar Circuit

Its patented design is flexible and can be trimmed to fit the specific contours of a building. It consists of two overlapping layers of conductive materials separated by an insulating layer, which is installed directly on the surface to be protected. When an animal comes into contact with the circuit or urinates on it, the circuit closes and triggers a very low-intensity electric pulse. This pulse is enough to discomfort the animal, discouraging it from repeating the behavior, without causing any harm.

The circuits are modular and can be easily connected to cover large areas of a building, all controlled by a single module or power source. The system can be used to protect urban infrastructure, such as streetlights, which are often affected by pet urination.

Conductive Paint Circuit

This is an alternative to the laminar circuit, designed for more discreet applications or surfaces with irregular shapes. It employs two conductive paint strips applied over an insulating base layer, forming the circuit directly on the facade or surface requiring protection.

When an animal makes contact with the paint strips, the circuit closes, triggering a low-intensity electric pulse. This approach is particularly well-suited for installations where maintaining aesthetic integrity is crucial, such as on public monuments or historic buildings.

The conductive strips are connected to a control module, which efficiently manages the electrical supply needed for the system’s operation.

High-Frequency Sound Emitter

The Protect City Zone control unit features an integrated speaker that emits sound frequencies specifically designed to be uncomfortable for various animal species, from birds to small mammals.

These frequencies are inaudible to humans but highly effective in keeping animals away from protected areas. This system is especially useful for deterring birds from perching on ledges or rooftops and preventing small mammals from approaching protected surfaces.

Repellent Odor Sprayer

The Repellent Odor Sprayer is a flexible and modular system that easily integrates with the laminar circuits to create a sensory barrier for nearby animals. Each sprayer module is equipped with ultrasonic micro-sprayers that efficiently release odors specifically designed to repel animals.

When the laminar circuit is activated by the presence of an animal, the system also disperses targeted odors that are unpleasant for them.

These odors are carefully selected for each type of animal and are released in a controlled manner, ensuring effective and long-lasting deterrence. This mechanism complements the low-intensity electric pulses of the laminar circuit and the deterrent sounds.

The use of Protect City Zone technology is fully legal when installed in areas where animal urination is prohibited and with proper signage.

All-in-One Urban Protection Solution

Residential and Commercial Properties

Protect City Zone is specifically engineered to protect the facades, balconies, ledges, and rooftops of residential and commercial buildings. It effectively deters birds from perching and leaving droppings, as well as discourages dogs from marking walls, ensuring both cleanliness and the long-term preservation of the building's exterior.

Historic Monuments

Monuments and statues are particularly vulnerable to the damaging effects of bird droppings and animal urine. Protect City Zone provides robust protection for these cultural landmarks without compromising their visual appeal, utilizing discreet installation methods like the conductive paint circuit to ensure preservation.

Urban Infrastructure

Critical urban infrastructure, including bridges, streetlights, and public furnishings, also benefit from the advanced protection provided by Protect City Zone. By mitigating animal-induced damage, this system significantly reduces maintenance costs and ensures the long-term durability of public assets.
